IA7 Web interface and EZRain Controller

Dean Junk
The new web interface is AWESOME!  Is there anyway to get the ezrain irrigation controller added to the web interface?  I think currently is traverses through the states of the object and this object doesn't have any.  Here is the output from the XML sub:

  • $ezrain
    • category=Other
    • filename=insteon_table
    • html=<td align="right"><a href='SET;&amp;html_state_log($ezrain)' target='speech'><img src="/graphics/off.jpg" alt="$ezrain" border="0"></a></td> <td align="left"><b>Ezrain</b></td>
    • idle_time=183673
    • state=off
    • state_log
      • 03/06/2015 06:32:51 AM off set_by=web
    • states
      • undef
    • type=Insteon::Irrigation

Appreciate any help/advice on getting this added!

What doesn't work?  Does the button show up? Is it missing states?

The button shows up, but then the popup doesn't have any options.

Re: IA7 Web interface and EZRain Controller

Items need to have their states set to show up on the web interface. There was a message a few months back about a similar issue with the EIB_Item. I'm doing this from memory but you should be able to add something like this in your usercode:

$object -> set_states("on","off");

And you should now be able to control it. Of course change on and off to whatever is appropriate.

Yes, I understand that.  However, this object is slightly different.  It has set_valve (1 - 8) and set_program (1-4) methods instead of one set method.  I'm guessing I need to update the javascript.js to check the object type and handle the set differently?

I appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Re: IA7 Web interface and EZRain Controller

Ah I see. Looking at Insteon::Irrigation module, there are child objects for both the values and programs. This would be the optimal way to control via the web interface. This is exactly how I’ve set up the opensprinkler module and it works well.

I understand now.  I missed the child objects, thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks!
